Into the Wild (2007)

I watched it for the third time last night. What a fantastic movie. Whenever I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything/everyone, I just think about this movie. I would watch parts of it on Youtube before I found it for £5 in HMV yesterday. I think the opening title quote says it all:

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods; There is a rapture on the lonely shore; There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar;  I love not man the less, but Nature more...  - Lord Byron

There are so many things I could say about the movie..so many issues that I could delve into...it really doesn't need in depth discussion though, it just needs to be watched.
I watched it with a friend of mine the first time round and he kept saying ''Why the f*ck would anyone do THAT!?' And I defended Christopher all the way....I still do, but I really agree with what he wrote in his book during his last days/hours (?) on the magic bus:

Christopher McCandless: [written into book] Happiness only real when shared.

Oh...and the soundtrack. All I need to say is.....Eddie Vedder

I'm all like......*SOB*
